Tunnel Vision
Remember those times when you were studying for a big test or preparing for a school tournament?
You dedicated hours, practiced relentlessly, and put in the hard work.
The result? High marks, a top spot in the standings, and a sense of accomplishment.
You experienced the power of focus and dedication firsthand.
Now, here's an important realization: the same principles that applied to preparing for exams or tournaments also apply to life.
The more you prepare, study, and work hard, the better your results will be. You've been locked in before, focused entirely on a goal. But once that goal was achieved, you might have lost that tunnel vision.
Life, however, is a different game. In your teens and early 20s, you were playing a smaller game—getting good grades, winning tournaments.
Now, the game is ongoing, and the rewards are far greater. When you achieve success in life, those rewards last much longer.
Think back to your school days.
If you worked hard, practiced, and stayed focused, you saw results.
The same applies to your career and personal growth. If you put in the same level of dedication, you'll achieve results that last a lifetime.
The difference now is that the stakes are higher, and the rewards are even greater—financial freedom, success, and the fulfillment of your dreams.
In 10th grade, I experienced this firsthand. I was antisocial and didn't fit into any friend groups, but I was incredibly focused on my studies. I did all my homework and stayed locked in.
As a result, I ended my math class with a 99% final grade.
It was a significant achievement, and it taught me an important lesson: if I applied the same level of dedication to life as I did to that math class, I could achieve anything.
This lesson is crucial. Many people aren't locked in because there's no external due date or pressure. But you can create your own deadlines and put pressure on yourself.
Realize that the same energy and effort you put into school can be applied to your career and personal growth.
The rewards you receive will be long-lasting and far more significant.
Life has levels, just like a game.
The higher you go, the more you enjoy yourself and the more freedom you have. S
o, put your all into it. Lock in, stay focused, and work harder than ever. The rewards will be worth it.
Stay motivated, and remember that your dedication today shapes your success tomorrow.
