-$8499

I’ve been wasting a lot of money lately.

  • $834 groceries

  • $1200 house payment

  • $944 for a Tesla sensor….

  • Let's not talk about taxes

This list although large… It’s small compared to what my friends and family would say it’s a “waste of money”.

  • $999 for a funnel-building-course

  • $3500 for my content manager

  • $2500 for a new Macbook

  • $1500 for networking event in Toronto

Yup, I “wasted” a total of $8499 in the last 30 days, according to the people around me.

But I understand something that they don’t.

Money is nothing if it’s not used to make you more money or improve you as a person.

The ROI I get from “wasting” that money will far surpass that $8499.

Investing money in yourself IS NEVER a waste of money.

4 years of being in self-improvement, and hundreds of thousands of dollars later,

I’ve proven to myself that, stacking the necessary skills in life is what is going to build you In that person who is capable of making it in life.

Here are the reasons why.

  • Skills are exponentially scalable, you can never lose them. Like riding a bike.

  • Skills solve problems, if you solve enough problems. You are a millionaire forever.

  • Nobody can take them away from you, no person, no government. They are always yours.

That’s how I went from making 3k per month to 55k - by ruthlessly investing in my skills and habits.

If I need a skill or accomplish a task. I don’t waste hundreds of hours scrolling the internet trying to find a viable way to get it done.

I search for the best names in that industry and pay them to teach me.

That’s why college was never an option for me,

Even though I tried.

Sitting there for hours trying to learn from an old dude making 60k a year and never owning a business,

Was a WASTE of time…

Whatever, lesson learned.

The point of this email is not to talk about college, it is to:

  • Encourage you to invest in yourself

  • Even if it doesn't pay off instantly it will over time

  • Don’t give much attention to the people who haven’t made it in life… even if they are the closest to you.

  • Over time you will surpass them, and instead of doubting you they will cheer you on, trust me I’ve seen this happen to me.

Hopefully, this email was eye-opening to you and gave you that extra motivation, to look at your life and make some smart choices when it comes to stacking skills and habits.

JP,
