Human Brains are Wired into Scarcity

I’m pretty sure some of you have seen my message on Instagram about scarcity, but I want to dive deep into it.

I’m writing this email from the sauna so this is going to be a nice one. (Lol this pic)

I believe that this concept is extremely important since to become resourceful in this new economy your mindset needs to be different from how we are originally programmed.

You know back in the caveman days…

We had to hunt, we had to take care of the tribe, and defend ourselves.

Now the thing about those times is that if you missed any negative news events, you’d likely be in some form of danger.

For example: there is a drought or there are more lions in this area of the safari

If you did not keep attention to the negative news, you’d likely be fucked and put yourself in a dangerous situation.

So our biology is wired to focus on the negative as a defense mechanism to keep us alive.

Now this is the issue…

With all the resources and luxuries we have in the modern era, biological programming is not something that puts us at the greatest advantage.

Why?

Because if you understand that if we are programmed to focus on the negative, that means that the focus will keep us blind to all the good.

That mindset is rooted in scarcity.

In an abundant world, if you operate within scarcity, that is not a frame to be fruitful in that society.

Let me give you an example: remind yourself of a friend who constantly follows the news and saves money. 

He is a big saver, and is cheap in some sense.

He speaks about politics and seems to be in a bad mood.

For a guy like that… 

Do you think he’s well placed to create a multi-million dollar business idea in the new economy?

NO!

The essence of business is

CREATING

ITS BUILDING VALUE

How do you think a person rooted in scarcity is prepared to bring value to others and be selfless?

Entrepreneurship requires a degree of selflessness to the customer.

If you focus on your customer’s results versus yours, then that business is on its way up.

The business that is always focused on how much he will make and keep in his bank is set to crumble.

There is UNLIMITED cash in this world 

Just look at the money printer.

Resources are everywhere, just gotta go take it.

To thrive you MUST operate in abundance 

You must give to receive 

If you are overwhelmed about your financial situation or overthink about bills

You are thinking under the scarcity mindset.

Here is a challenge for you.

Neglegent of your financial situation, wherever you are in life.

Go and do a selfless act of kindness

Give to your parents, friends, and the homeless.

It’s an exercise to keep you in abundance.
